History

Started as a Restaurant serving homemade meals , for nearby Vicenza traders on their way to and from neighboring towns. All meals were prepared and served by the hotel’s founder Amabile Boller with the help of her family.

Amabile started her career as chef in Cortina. As business developed, Ristorante Vicenza as it was then called was renamed Hotel Dolomiti after having added 6 guests rooms, making it the first hotel to open in the Vigolana plateau in 1958. Second generation Carlo Ducati and family have been running the hotel ever since. The property was refurbished twice.

Geschichte

Anfänglich als typisches Restaurant mit Hausmannskost geführt von Amabile Boller und seiner Familie verkehrten hauptsächliche Geschäftsreisende aus den Veneto auf der Durchreise des Vigolana-Hochplateaus.

1958 entschied sich Amabile durch seinen Erfahrung als Chef in Cortina, auch Gästezimmer anzubieten. So entstand das Restaurant Vicenza im Hotel Domoliti, das erste Hotel des Hochplateaus/Hochlands. Heute wird das Hotel durch den Sohn von Amabile weitergeführt, der mit seiner Familie das Hotel erweitert und modernisiert hat.

Umgeben von den Dolomiten und ca. 5 km entfernt von den Seen von Levico und Caldonazzo liegt in dem sympathischen Ort Vattaro, das seit 1958 von der Familie Ducati geführte 3Sterne Hotel Dolomiti. Das von der Tiroler Architektur inspirierte Hotel verfügt über 28 geräumige Zimmer mit eigenem Bad.

Trento ist von Vattaro aus gut zu erreichen und das bekannte Skigebiet von Folgaria liegt ½ Autostunde entfernt. Wegen seiner Lage ist das Hotel Dolomiti besonders beliebt bei Familien, Mountainbikern, Wanderern und Motorradfahrern und das bei italienischen und ausländischen Gästen gleichermaßen. Das liegt nicht zuletzt auch an der abwechslungsreichen und genussvollen Küche unseres Chefs Carlo, mit typischen Spezialitäten und Zutaten aus der Region, einer gut bestückten Weinkarte und ausgewählten Grappas.
